COAL GROVE, OHIO-After a long off season, engines will be roaring in Coal Grove, Ohio on Saturday, April 14th as the Rocky Top Raceway will open it’s gates for the annual “Test N Tune”. The Test N Tune unofficially starts the season as racers from all the classes that race at RTR will bring their cars out to practice before the official start of the season the following week. Test N Tune is always a fun day to come out as it is the first chance to see the cars speeding around the track and the first chance to hear the rumble of the engines.
Test N Tune will get underway at 10:00 am in the morning and will last until dusk. Racers and race fans are invited to attend at least part, if not all of the day with us as admission will be $10. However, everybody will be allowed in the pits as this is a good opportunity for fans to get up close with the cars and drivers. The “Season Opener” race will be on Friday, April 20th as the fourth season of racing at Rocky Top will get underway with a full program of Late Models, Modifieds, Bombers, and Mod Lites.
